|02:22 am - Too Darn Hot|
The thermometer in here says 83 and I've had the window air conditioner running all day, and the portable A/C running in the living room from noon until 10:00 PM, the temperature is in the upper 70s outside. The bedroom and the lower level are actually cool, but I'm deeply sick of this weather, and it's supposed to be about the same from now until Thursday. Friday, the heat sort of breaks and we have a high of (only) 92. Then, we get more reasonable temperatures, but I fear that this will be a hot summer. Having two air conditioners running full time is a bare minimum in this insane weather. I seriously dislike temperatures above 80 and feel ill in temperatures above 90.
Current Mood: uncomfortable

I guess you had better not move down here. In Summer, my bedroom is in the low to medium 80s near dawn. Tonight is nice and cool at 73. Sometimes nightime temp is close to 90. I really hate it when daytime temp soars. 85-90 is OK, but some days it goes over 100.
Over here the air conditioner does a fair job of keeping the house cool. Except for my room, which was so hot even in the middle of the night that I couldn't get to sleep.
I have nowhere to sleep!
We have no AC. Worse, we have no shade, the front picture window does not open, and we have no screen on our front door (which wouldn't really help anyhow, when it doesn't even cool off at night.) My poor cats. They are cat slugs right now. I have made a vow: in May of next year (because Frank is taking a class from September through May) we will find a better home. We're thinking the coast will be the place.
Ah. You have the same heat intolerance as Tantric_Chef. I am used to temperatures of 90 outside without an air conditioner. We're actually having a cool (for DC) summer for once!
If 83 is hot, we'll really like the summers in Portland!
Thank goodness we're having a relatively cool summer, for Cleveland. I haven't been too miserable yet. I dislike anything above about 72, and prefer weather between about 40 and 65.
What I'm really dreading is my flight to Alabama on Thursday, followed by three days of moving and packing down there before we escape again.
