|03:22 am - Modern life with cats & robots|
John: I need to put the boxes in a chair so my cat Josie won't eat the box [], but the Roomba doesn't like the chair I'm using because it gets stuck on it and complains, so I need to get a different chair from the basement.... The cat and the robot have different desires.
Alice: Many dreadful SF stories start that way.
John: In 5 or 6 years, I expect that an increasing number of blog posts will start the same way.
[] Cardboard is clearly one of my cat's major food groups.

I'm not sure which to geek on more: the fact this is a problem best resolved, in true engineering fashion, by putting the box on
the Roomba (for any small, sanely-shaped box), or that your Josie is a pussycat

:) Like most of our cats, she came pre-named, but I completely agree.
I realised we were in the Sci-Fi Future when U-scans started appearing at the grocery store. Unfortunately, my local store was in The Broken Sci-Fi Future for several months before they got the software right.
